船橋漁港(Funabashi Fishing Port)

江戸時代、船橋の漁港は徳川将軍に魚を献上していました。
今日でも、東京湾の深部にありながら、三番瀬という豊かな浅瀬の恩恵を受け,本格操業を続けています。

In Edo period, fishing port of Funabashi gave fish to Tokugawa Shoguns who ruled Japan as the heads of the military government based at Edo(Tokyo).
Although the port is located on deep inside of Tokyo bay, the port has been working in full scale because of the rich shallow called "Sanban-ze".

東京湾への水路 (Watercourse to Tokyo Bay)

海老川河口の水門から東京湾に向かっての眺めです。
この水路の東側には大型ショッピングモールがあり、対岸には漁港があります。

View from a sluice gate at the mouth of Ebigawa River looking toward the bay.  
There is a large shopping mall at the eastern side of the watercourse, and there is a fishing port at the opposite side.
